Street Food Fridays

Every Friday from 5pm, a local street food vendor is invited to pitch outside the Arcade Tavern and serve their speciality dishes to our customers. Vendors from Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire have been coming to pitch at the Arcade Tavern since Spring 2015. You can look forward to more from Baytree Pizza, High Steaks, The Mobile Pizza Company, Hog & Ale, Bullitt Burger, TFI Vegan, Elsie’s Pizza, Juan Pablo and Tikka Tonic from March 2018.

Friday 29 June

FRESH SEASONAL PAKORAS (GF) (V) Pakoras (bhaajias) are fritters made with chickpea flour seasoned with a bouquet of freshly ground and whole Indian spices. We make them using fresh cauliflower, spinach, onions and potatoes. The pakoras are served with a drizzle of fresh tamarind & date chutney and a dab of mint coriander and raw mango chutney. FRESH PUNJABI SAMOSA (V) Fresh handmade proper Punjabi samosa filled with seasoned mixture of Potato, onions and peas. It is served with traditional sweet and seasoned tamarind and date chutney, sprinkled with a tangy blend of homemade seasoning. KEEMA KALEJI (GF) Locally sourced leg of lamb mince marinated for 48 hours in a blend of 48 spices roasted grounded and blended in-house. It is slow cooked in a traditional an Indian copper pot garnished with onions and coriander. This is served with a drizzle of fresh mint coriander and raw mango chutney. Served with fresh Basmati rice or rolled in a soft Naan Egg Roll. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA (GF) Locally sourced chicken breasts marinated overnight with a blend of 52 spices roasted, grounded and blended in-house. It is slow cooked in a traditional Indian copper pot garnished with finely chopped onion & coriander and fresh mint, coriander & raw mango chutney served with freshly cooked, fragrant, long grain basmati rice or rolled in a Naan Egg Roll. AMRITSARI CHHOLLE (V) (GF) Chickpeas soaked overnight, steamed and slow cooked with 48 different spices roasted, grounded and blended in-house. The chickpeas are dry roasted with in-house blend of spices, garnished with a dash of tamarind & date chutney and a drizzle of fresh mint, coriander and raw mango chutney. Amritsari Chholle served with freshly cooked, fragrant, long grain basmati rice. All main courses are served with a choice of Freshly cooked, fragrant, long grain basmati rice OR Rolled in a freshly made soft Naan Egg Roll.

Bullitt Burger

Their beef burgers are 100% dry aged, chuck steak from local Free-range producers. Cooked pink & served with iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion, spiked pickles & Bullitt special sauce in their own organic seasoned bun. ”THE TRUTH” Bullitt Classic Burger, Pure & Simple. ”CARNIVORE” Jaggery Streaky Bacon & Bullitt Cheese. ”NACHO LIBRE” Chorizo, Bullitt Cheese, CornTortillas “HERBIVORE” Flamed Halloumi Portobello Mushroom ”SAY CHEESE” Their Own Blended Bullitt Burger Cheese. ”SAY BLUE” Tuxford Tebbutt PDO Stilton . ”ICHOR” 2 X Bullitt Cheese, 3 X Jaggery Bacon, Double Special Sauce, Double Spiked Pickles & Salad Bypass.

BUFFALO - Crispy coated chicken thigh, buffalo sauce, garlic/parmesan dressing, lettuce & pickles. HONEY I'M HOME! - Crispy coated thigh, lemon & honey drizzle, garlic & chives mayo, lettuce and pickles. TROTTER - Crispy coated thigh, pancetta bacon, melted Gouda, lettuce, pickles, lime & sriracha mayo. BUFFALO WINGS - Half dozen coated wings, homemade buffalo sauce, garlic & parmesan dressing, chives. OPEN SESAME - Sticky miso and honey glaze, sesame seeds and spring onions.

Quarter pound "beef" style cheeze burger. Stack (Vegan Big Mac). Mushroom and Spinach burger with spicy mayo. BBQ "pulled pork" style burger with apple slaw. Hot dog with ketchup, mustard and crispy onions.

Tofu and Aduki Bean Chilli, Spinach and Mung Bean Dhal, Nutball Marinara all served with rice.

Baytree Pizza

9 inch pizzas, with over eight specialist toppings on Italian inspired homemade dough base. Wood fired to perfection.
